A record of what you experienced

Project Tagalong began as P. Avila’s personal film diary. This part of the site makes room for the experiences other people choose to share. You can explore submitted accounts on the map, look for a location, or describe a moment of your own. An account does not need a final explanation to be worth recording.

When you write, start with the details you remember: where you were, when it happened, what caught your attention and whether anyone was with you. Describe what you saw separately from what you think it may have been. If a date, distance or duration is uncertain, say so. Those distinctions help readers understand your experience without filling in the gaps for you.

The submission form lets you choose a location and add your account, with supporting media where available. Only share material you have the right to share, and leave out private information about other people. Your email address is not displayed with your public story. The privacy policy explains how submitted information is handled.

You can also create a member account using a secure email sign-in link. Joining the mailing list is separate: use the website signup form if you would like updates. To explore the record that started Project Tagalong, visit the original film archive or read Trisha’s story.
